Tiger Swallowtails lay eggs on willow, ash and cherry. They are on the wing when blackberries are in bloom and also nectar on phlox, Hesperis, dogbane, clover, milkweed and Joe Pye weed. They are a short season species, only around for about six weeks but range all the way from Newfoundland to British Columbia.
