Butterfly Garden by Mike MacDonald

Silvery Blue

[Silvery Blue picture] Silvery Blues lay eggs on wild pea, vetch, loco weed, blueberries and Lupine. They nectar on lupines and red and White Clover. Quite a small species, they are among the few that hibernate. Males often gather and drink from moist or wet soil, a practice called puddling.
